I remember making silly body shapes with my shadow. Ava enjoyed her shadow this past week.

We made our big announcement Friday… Ava is going to be a big sister this October.

Ava and I are exploring all of the indoor places in Chicago. It’s been cold and snowy here for many months and we need to get out of the house and explore. Ava learned about Chicago’s history and saw many artifacts.

Had a nice day that started with brunch at The Bongo Room followed by the Swedish Museum. We ended up the day with dinner with Grandpa at Scoozi. We all love Sundays.

We had a nice 2nd Valentine’s Day celebrating with our Angel. Last year was sushi at Sai Cafe and this year we went to Prasino at 5pm. It was a little fancier than expected but we had a nice time and Ava enjoyed checking out the fire place and people watching.

Ava had a fun day with friend. She started with a play date at Northbrook Court with Kennedy and Charlie. Friday night she got to hang with Raine and Gabe. Ava loves spending time with friends and always has plenty of hugs and kisses.

This is one of the best places to go with your children! Ava had a ball tubing and being pulled around all afternoon. Dave and I were excited to see her enjoying the snow and the outdoors.
She had fun and we got a workout!

Ava is becoming more fun and interactive each and every day. She mimics us and giggles when we do silly fun things. I decided to hand her a big piece of pizza at dinner and she went right for it like a big girl.

Ava is 5 1/2 months old. She can sit unassisted for about 3 seconds! Dave and I encourage and giggle with every new thing Ava has learned.
We still can’t believe we have a daughter. We look at each other with amazement that Ava is ours!

Need I say anything?

We spent Ava’s first Thanksgiving with nana and papa. We had a wonderful spread of food! We ate, laughed, drank, talked about old traditions and were loving Ava.

Over the past week, Ava began making motor boat sounds with her lips and spit. This became the “ba” sound, which emerged two days ago. We are elated that she is starting to blend a consonant and a vowel!

As Dave and I watch Ava sleep, we whisper to each other “What a perfect baby.” Even when Ava sleeps, we cannot stop gazing at her.
Others have told us that there is no love like the love you have for your child. We have found this phrase to be absolutely true. We say it everyday!

Brrrr! The weather has turned cold. It was in the 60’s yesterday and now is in the 30’s. Thank goodness Ava has her winter gear…thanks to auntie Amy!
Dave and I cannot wait for the first snowfall with Ava!

What a great day! Ava saw her reflection today during tummy time and gave herself a great big smile. This was the first time she saw her adorable face.

Dave and I were thrilled that we captured this moment together.

Another first for Ava is her ability to roll from her back to her side. It’s only a matter of time before she rolls to her tummy. We will be thrilled when that happens.

Everyday is an adventure with Ava!

Auntie Amy is in town for a visit and an interview. She has been cuddling with Ava and Hoober. She is sharing her love!
Ava turned 100 days old last week. It is a milestone in the Korean tradition.

She has become very vocal and is intrigued by all things around her. Ava enjoys napping while out on our excursions.

Can’t wait to see what happens in another month!
